We have been trying to find a new breakfast spot in town and decided to give Rafael's a try. The staff was very friendly. The food was hot and came out quick. The eggs and hash browns were a little bland but everything else was delicious. The bowl of pozole is good sized and has really good flavor. The prices are great. We ordered 3 breakfast plates, one child's breakfast, 4 drinks, & the bowl of pozole all for around $40. We definitely will be returning!

This is the best restaurant in Woodland for a traditional American breakfast. The family who runs it appears to be Mexican and you can get some great Mexican dishes too. I love the posole. I don't care for menudo but I've been told by people who like it that Raphael's is very good.

First, let me get the location out of the way: Raphael's is in a run-down shopping plaza behind Dutch Bros and next door to a head shop. Don't let that put you off. The benefit is that there is ample parking. The interior is plain and a bit run-down too...but don't let that put you off unless you want a cute and cozy bistro (in which case, you aren't eating in a restaurant in Woodland). If, you're in for some friendly service and an excellent classic diner breakfast, this is your place.

I've been in a keto-like diet lately and I've added a bunch of other restrictions. It's crazy but my point in telling you this is that my orders could make the server's or cook's heads spin. The servers and cooks here at Raphael's have got my order right every time. (This is in stark contrast to the Starbucks down the street that can't get a single simple order quite right.)

Bottom line: if your interested in the food above all else, this is your place. Recommended!

One last note: my 5-star review is

A solid spot for breakfast (and most probably other meals too).  Very old school and seemingly very popular with the retiree crowd.  Service was prompt and friendly.  There were a few vegetarian friendly omelettes and plenty of choices for those that eat bacon and pork and beef.  I had the Primo omelette.  It looked good and tasted even better.  The hash browns could have used a bit more browning but I'll take care of that with my leftovers.  I usually ask for my toast "dry" and that's how it came, very much appreciated, so often at other places they forget and my toast comes soaked in butter or margarine.

My husband loved the atmosphere.  If we lived closer  we would be happy to be one of those people who are greeted by everyone else dining there as we came in, as we saw happen over and over during our short visit.

This is my entire family's breakfast spot. We are regulars and the staff knows us. When we stray  from our usual breakfast orders it catches them off guard. This is your typical family owned diner. The menu  has lots of breakfast and lunch options. The staff alone is worth going here. I've tried a lot of their food items. Breakfast is definitely their specialty. I almost always order the pork pozole. They also have menudo. These Mexican soups are only available weekends. The diner is not to big and gets packed on the weekends, but the services is fast. If your not local and happen to be in Woodland area, this place is definitely a great breakfast spot. Picture is my small bowl of yummy pozole..

Looking for a good chicken fried steak for breakfast.  Found it!  Crispy, seasoned perfectly, real country gravy, portioned just right, good price.
The waitress was professional and helpful and cared that I was happy with my meal.
This is just a solid good restaurant without all the annoyances like bitchy waitresses or wet tables or loud music.
The only thing I'd change is the neighboring businesses or its location.
